Microsoft Business Intelligence Tools SSIS SSAS SSRS

MSBI is a software application. It designed to analyze the data, regain, report and transform the data. This application read the data before stores, repeated though no need of Data Warehouse.

What is the use of Microsoft Business Intelligence Tools?

MSBI having three internal tools and technologies:

1.      SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services):

SSIS tool uses for the integration like dumping the data from one database to another. For example Oracle to SQL Server and from Excel to SQL Server etc. This tool is also used for bulk transactions in the database like put a huge no of records at a time. We can create the integration services modules which will do the job for us.

2.      SSAS (SQL Server Analysis Services):

SSAS tool is OLAP (Online Analytical Processing). SSAS tool analyzes the SQL server performance as well as loading data and vast data and transaction. So it is more or less relates to the administration of the SQL Server using this tool. It is a strong tool and SSAS tool is used for, we can analyze the data inserting into the database. Such that how many transactions are done in a within a second.  Analysis Services includes a group of OLAP. It includes Data mining capabilities and comes in two flavors - Multidimensional and Tabular.

3.      SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services):

SSRS is a first tool released in 2004. SSRS tool related to the generation of a report. This is a most important tool and it is a platform independent. We can generate the report using SRSS tool. Nowadays this is popular in the market. I hope it will be helpful to you. The present version was released as part of SQL Server 2016 in March.
